Building Your Bands Mailing List And Street Team

A mailing list is a great way to keep your fans up to date on everything that is going on with your bands career. Sending them updates will also keep your name fresh in your fans heads so they don’t go and forget about you. You should be putting your mailing list on your bands website and all of your social networking sites. If you are finding it hard to get subscribers offering incentives like exclusive content or entry into a contest can be a great help. You are also going to want to keep your fans up to date and interested or you are going start losing your subscribers you worked so hard to get. Reverbnation is a great site with a mailing list widget so you can manage your whole mailing list from their site. Best of all, its free! Sites like Aweber are amazing for mailing lists, but at $19 a month I’d only recommend it to bands who are already established and already have a large number of subscribers.

Street Team – Reverbnation also has a great feature called a street team. You create missions for people who sign up for your street team to help get your name out there. An example would be getting members of your street team to post widgets of your band on there own sites/social networking sites.

Just like everything else, the more you promote your mailing list and street team the more people you are going to get to join.

Need a website for your band?

Band Website Theme is a great way to get your band a website up and running even if you have little or no programming experience.  This is an inexpensive way to get a fully functional professional website up and running in an instant rather than paying a programmer hundreds of dollars and waiting weeks or months for your website.  If you promote your site right and get some merch and songs available for download then your Band Website Theme will quickly pay for itself.
